How do I create a profile?
To create a profile click on “My profile” in the upper right-hand corner of the Borealis Careers Website and select “Create an account” if you are not registered with us yet.
How should I submit a CV?
You can upload your CV directly to your candidate profile in the section “My Documents”. If you wish, it will be stored for your future applications.
How do I add other documents like certificates, diplomas & reference letters?
You can upload further documents to your candidate profile in the section “My Documents”.
Can I withdraw an application?
If you feel that a particular job might not be the right next step in your career, you can withdraw your application at any time. You can do that directly in your candidate profile by clicking on the respective job you have applied for in the section “Jobs Applied” and by choosing “Withdraw Application”. If you have already been in touch with your Talent Acquisition Specialist, we would appreciate if you could inform him or her directly.
Can I edit my uploaded CV?
You can upload a new CV to your candidate profile in the section “My Documents” at any time.
I forgot my password, what do I do?
If you forgot your password, you can request a link to reset it by indicating the email address you have used to register yourself.
How can I delete my profile?
We regret to hear that you want to remove your candidate profile. You can delete it in the settings after logging into your account. Please find further information in the Data Privacy Statement in your candidate profile.

What is the best way to apply for a position with Borealis?
As the proper and compliant handling of your data is very important for us, we can only accept applications submitted via our career site. Please be aware that no content will be uploaded to our database, and thus, you email application will not be taken into consideration.
Which documents do I need to apply?
If nothing else is mentioned in a job advertisement, it is enough to upload your CV and cover letter. If you wish, you can also submit other documents like certificates, diplomas or reference letters and upload them directly to your candidate profile.
What information should I include?
First impressions count, which is why we advise you to present your skills and experience in a structured way. Tell us about your accomplishments and highlight those aspects of your career that are of relevance for us at Borealis and the position you are interested in.
Can I apply for more than one job at the same time?
Absolutely, you can apply for more than one job at the same time.
What if there is no relevant opening for me at the moment?
If you cannot find an opening that makes your eyes spark at the moment, just apply spontaneously via our Borealis career site by indicating your area of expertise and interest.
I worked with Borealis before, can I get rehired?
Yes, the application process for former employees is the same as for everybody else.
Do you offer entry-level positions?
Yes, we do offer a variety of positions from entry to senior level. Respective vacancies are posted on our career site when they are available.
Do you offer part-time positions?
From time to time, we do offer part-time positions as well. You can find information in regards to the number of hours in the header of our job advertisements.
Do you hire students, interns, and recent graduates?
Yes, we do hire students, interns, and recent graduates at many of our locations. You can find respective vacancies on our Borealis career site when they are available.
I do not have a visa, can I still apply?
If you are interested and feel qualified for one of our openings, we would like to encourage you to apply whether you have a visa or not. If the requirements of the position and the qualification of the candidate make it necessary, Borealis will offer you support.
Can I apply abroad?
Mobile candidates are of great interest and importance for Borealis’ growth journey all over the world. Therefore, we always look forward to applications from candidates abroad.
I have applied but have not received any feedback. What should I do?
We try to process your application as fast as we can but also want to take the necessary time to review received documents carefully. You can check the progress of your application in your candidate profile in the section “Jobs Applied”.
I have submitted my application. What now?
After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirmation, and our Talent Acquisition Specialists will review your documents as fast as possible. If we discover a fit between our vacancy and your profile, we will get in touch with you to evaluate a potential match further in the course of a telephone or face-to-face interview.
But even if you are not successful this time, your information is stored in our database, and our Talent Acquisition Specialists can reach out to you and bring other appropriate opportunities to your attention.
Interview preparation
What should I expect from an interview at Borealis?
The interview will give us the chance to get to know each other better. Help us understand how your prior experience and successes have prepared you for the position we are talking about. We also want to hear about your motivation and expectations for the next step in your career and your future employer.
How can I prepare?
Besides reviewing the job description, we would expect you to do your research and have a look at our corporate homepage. It is great if you can think of specific examples that demonstrate your strengths and skills, as this will help us understand much better what you can bring into our role. Additionally, you might also want to practice the interview situation with your friends and relatives.
Should I ask questions?
There will be time for you to ask questions and we would like to encourage you to ask anything that would help you to make a decision about whether Borealis would be the right fit for you and for the next chapter of your career. We know what it’s like trying to choose a new employer, so anything we can do to help you understand us or the position better, just let us know.
What should I wear?
Your outfit should fit the position. A rule of thumb: dress slightly better than you would for an ordinary day at work but also wear something that makes you feel competent and comfortable.

A typical interview will take about an hour.
