As an experienced mechanical engineer You ARE Thé expert when it comes to analysing upsets, identifying cost drivers, defining improvement plans/actions to improve maintenance cost, operability production volumes in a compliant and safe manner.

• You are responsible for the follow-up of repairs & revisions of existing materials, you advice your internal stakeholders on actions, preventive plans, purchases of eg spare parts.
• You closely cooperate with internal (operating units, project mgrs., maintenance, purchasing dept.) and external stakeholders when it comes to selecting and purchasing new equipment. This all according to internal specifications and legal requirements.
• You sometimes visit suppliers in order to check compliance and participate in rotating network meetings (physically/virtually)
• You combine professional expertise within the rotating equipment area with profound knowledge of other operational domains, execution maintenance techniques, conditioning monitoring to define improvements that can optimize reliability of our plants.
• You formulate “out of the box” ideas, give advise to internal stakeholders with regards to technical feasibility of improvement actions/suggestions.
• You co-ordinate approved improvements both commercially and technically to make sure that implementation is according to our internal standards & legal requirements, respecting budget and planning.
• You critically evaluate executed modifications vs “return on investment”
About you
For this challenging role we are looking for the right match, our new employee
• Has a masters’ degree in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in the domaine of rotating equipment. Working for a (petro)chemical process industry before is an absolute asset.
• Has in-depth knowledge with regards to pumps, extruders, sealing systems, gearboxes, turbines, compressors
• Is used to work with Risk Based Maintenance (must) and might have SAP knowledge
• Masters both Dutch and English as mother tongue or on a professional level
• Is flexible in working on-site for both our locations in Geleen (NL) and Beringen (B) depending on the priorities and projects
• Can think out of the box and comes up with pragmatic innovative ideas
• Knows how to manage his/her stakeholders, both in- and external
• Is not strange to a Self-steering mentality
