Role Purpose: 
    Lead the optimisation of all aspects of the North American polyolefin supply chain and ensure alignment to overall polyolefin’s strategy and global Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP), with focus on long-term growth and value generation. 
    Own, steer and coordinate the North American S&OP business process including performance review and outlook, business update (sales, marketing, procurement, product management, operations), operations update, product development update.
    Leads the North American polyolefin’s tactical business execution forums. Responsible for hosting and chairing monthly S&OP

Area of responsibility:
    Responsible for the optimization of the sales margin for Borealis polyolefins in North America for the short and medium term based on the forecasted demand and supply capabilities.
    Setting of inventory targets in North America and responsible for their implementation. Secures product availability and supply capability according to business strategy while optimizing working capital consumption.
    Decide on North American asset loading based on business input.
    Leads and manages the regional (= North American) S&OP and supply chain teams
    Contributes to the optimization of Total-Cost-To-Serve by driving business optimal sourcing decisions (balancing cycle cost, inventory cost and logistics costs) while maintaining/improving customer satisfaction.
    Responsible for S&OP process alignment, regular volume flows between Baystar and Borealis logistic service providers and the re-sale business produced at overseas Borealis & Borouge locations.
    As leader of Business Execution forums in North America, delivery of  the North American Business Plan and Scorecard is the key success factor
    Responsible for North American DOI (Days on Inventory) as set in the Business Plan
    Responsible for North American S&OP organizational effectiveness through the metrics defined

About you

Requirements:

    University degree – master preferred - in the disciplines of either Supply Chain Management or business or engineering
    Mastery of English at business level 
    Financial literacy 
    Superior understanding of the petrochemical value chain 
    EXPERIENCE IN THE ROLE: 5 years management experience in supply chain management or product management or sales or marketing or production in the chemical industry 
    TOTAL EXPERIENCE: 10 years of business management experience in process manufacturing
    Ability to lead a cross functional team across various locations to deliver the overall NAM PO strategy 
    Solid business leadership on strategic and tactical level in complex and volatile environment 
    Recognised as high performing, successful leader of change
    Ability to provide mentoring, coaching and leadership across various functions
    Ability to influence stakeholders in Borealis, Baystar and Borouge on key decisions
    Sound decision making and proactive conflict resolution
