For our locations in Antwerp (Zwijndrecht) and Kallo we look forward to welcoming an expert in maintenance and project management.

Borealis currently operates one hydrocarbon (Dehy) and three polyolefin plants (PP, LDPE, LDPE Compounding) in its location Kallo-Antwerp. In addition, we are currently in the construction phase of our 1 BEUR Dehy2 plant. The dimensions of the turnarounds and shutdowns are typical 0.5 – 25 MEUR financial and up to 700 contractors will support us during the execution phases. As an expert in turnarounds these will be your responsibilities:

 

  • You lead the preparation and execution of Turnarounds and Shutdowns according to agreed targets, in compliance with relevant Group procedures and best practices and the strategic elements of the Operations & HSE Strategy.
  • You coordinate scope input, planning & scheduling, cost estimation, contracting and procurement as well as shutdown and start-up activities between all relevant stakeholders. You organise the tollgate assessments with the Group Expert Turnaround.
  • In cooperation with Procurement, you will establish, execute and close contracts related with the turnaround activities. 
  • You develop an effective and well-motivated team of Borealis colleagues and external partners.
  • In our Goal Zero journey, you will actively contribute to allow us to exceed further in our HSE results, by the continuous improvement of our turnaround procedures, work processes and practices.
  • You are part of the larger Borealis family, where you share best practices and participate in the Turnaround Network with members across Borealis, OMV and Borouge. You will have the opportunity to assist in turnaround reviews in our other European locations.

About you

 

You are the right candidate for this position if ...

 

... you have a Master's degree from an acknowledged university or equivalent by experience. You master the art of maintenance management and project management thanks to your experience of 5 - 10 years in the petrochemical industry. Furthermore you have demonstrated ability to prioritize and take actions and own a good set of negotiation skills. As do we, you strive to innovate and to obtain the best qualitative results. You do not compromise on health, safety and environment issues. Your knowledge of Dutch is excellent and English at business level is no challenge for you!
