We rise to the challenge and is always striving to take the lead in our journey towards a more sustainable world. We need your contribution in the filing and prosecution of national, regional and international applications and maintenance of the resulting patents.
As our IPR Formalities Officer, you will handle formalities and administration in connection with invention disclosures, assignment and power of attorney documents, including notarisation and legalisation of such documents, file European (EP) and international (PCT) patent applications or instruct external patent attorneys to do so. You will register relevant IPR data, information and documents in the Borealis IPR registry system (DIAMS) and IPR matter management system (SharePoint) and keep such systems updated, correct and complete. This include the creation of new records, and provide overviews of data and information saved in these systems. You will also support IPR group members and other internal customers.
You will work closely with in-house patent attorneys and IPR Formalities Officers, internal customers such as inventors, R&D department, Business Units, and Innovation Projects involved in creation, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights as well as communicating with external IP service providers, foreign patent agents and national/regional patent offices.
About you
You are the right candidate for this position if you have excellent organising and planning skills, an ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. High quality, accuracy and correctness of work products, information and documents is highly required. As a person, you have a proactive, positive attitude and enjoy building relationships, coaching and mentoring people.
You have mastery of English at a business level, preferably at least Bachelor degree and experience as Patent Assistant, IPR Formalities Officer, Paralegal or Assistant of Intellectual Property Department in industry and/or private practice.
