Within Borealis Business Solutions Group, IT&S Basic Infrastructure Services, you will be responsible for developing and operating all activities undertaken on a continuous basis to defend against cyber-attacks. In your role, you will provide specialist advise and support to ensure the development, maintenance and operations of counteracting and mitigating actual security offenses on a 24/7 basis. 


In our challenge to push things forward and keep improving our processes and tools, these will be your responsibilities:


  • Develop and ensure the implementation of a roadmap to collect and analyse information to detect suspicious behavior or unauthorized system changes on the network.
  • Manage the outsourced part of the Cyber Defense Team.
  • Ensure the regular reporting of vulnerabilities to those responsible for mitigation and related actions accordingly. 
  • Provide active and effective contribution of resolving security incidents, minimising the exposure and impact in order to prevent data loss and guarantee confidentiality effectively. 
  • Provide the IT team with guidance about the application and interpretation of the IT security policies, procedures and guidelines by contributing to the reviews of project designs to ensure the security design is compliant with the policy and the operational requirements.

You are the right person for this role if you are an analytical and methodical mind who is result oriented. You must have the ability to deal with ambiguity and a strong sense for initiative. Equally important is that you have a cooperative, agile mindset with a good sense of teamwork. You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and can put forward at least 10 years of experience in IT security operations. A strong working knowledge of IT security solutions and a solid understanding of IT security principles, policies, and procedures is a given. Experience in close collaboration with and follow up of vendors and other third parties is preferred. Finally, you are fluent in English (spoken, written, literacy).
