Do you want to join the Data team of Borealis? We are currently looking for an expert in the field of data management.
If you are passionate about data and how Borealis can create value with data, and if you want to support innovation with data science-based solutions, you have come to the right place!
You will act as expert for Borealis group when it comes to data management, covering topics such as data governance, master- and meta-data management, data quality and data literacy. You will collaborate with the Expert, Data Architect for all data architecture topics. You will collaborate with the data science and data engineering colleagues when it comes to the development of data-driven solutions. Most importantly, you will engage with business stakeholders to evangelize and implement solid data management practices throughout the company.
Your main areas of responsibility include amongst others:
- You develop solid data management processes, incl. templates, tools and training and drive their implementation
- You work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide coaching to ensure application of the agreed processes and implementation of key data roles
- You drive and measure improvements in data quality
- You build a Data Community in Borealis and increase overall data literacy
- You assist in scoping and designing data analytics projects and solutions
- You escalate any request which may result in data security exposure
- You evaluate and recommend new and emerging data management technologies and practices
About you
You have a Master degree in Computer Science, Data Architecture and Management, Data Engineering, Information and Data Science or a related field. You have a proven track record for helping companies advance their data maturity, and you have experience in providing business- and functional leaders your expert advice on data management, and how it supports the company strategy. Furthermore, you have experience with enterprise architecture, data management and/or data governance methodologies such as DAMA BOK, TOGAF, MIKE2.0, ITIL, DGI. Experience in using leading data management tools and applications is also required.
We are looking for a strong analytical and conceptual thinker, who can translate concepts into practical implementation plans. You take initiative and identify opportunities; you are proactive in putting forward ideas & solutions and above all a teamplayer! Good coaching and communication are your key skills, and you know how to convey messages with impact and influence. Knowledge of agile principles and practices such as Kanban and Scrum are preferable. You have experience in an international organisation and are fluent in English.
