- We provide solutions for a better tomorrow and are looking for a Technical Development Engineer within Logistics, who will be responsible for identifying and bundling unmet material handling needs and developing and implementing technical solutions. You will enjoy an international working environment, with stakeholders mainly in Europe and growth ambitions in Asia and USA.
In this role you will work as a Technical Development Engineer, mainly for a recently acquired Group site in Italy, specifically in Taino (Va) in Italy, to identify opportunities and possible improvements, you will be directly reporting to the Group Logistic Asset Manager and functionally to the Managing Director and Operations Manager of the site.
Your task will be:
- ensure the most effective use and development of technical processes and material handling equipment by continuously evaluating and comparing opportunities and possible improvements
- take initiatives to identify, propose and implement improvements and investment projects for material handling processes and systems in order to optimize resources and efficiency
- maintain global market screenings for material flow processes and equipment and create improvement studies and projects that can develop the material handling function in the long term
- follow up new projects and act as a focal point for engineering service providers and drive investment projects in the execution phase and maintain interfaces with relevant stakeholders
- keep in mind Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines, rules and procedures and react to issues that are not in compliance with the HSE policy
About you
- You are the right candidate for this position if you have a technical or Bachelor's degree, for example in Mechatronics, Mechanics or Logistics and have already gained relevant work experience in project management. Ideally, you have 3-5 years of experience in polyolefins or a logistics environment. In addition, fluent Italian (preferably native) and fluent English is a must.
As a person you have a creative mind and love to take initiative to explore new business opportunities.
You are self-motivated, results-oriented, proactive and assertive in your approach. You like to convince people of your ideas and proposals, to make things happen and are very results-oriented and focused on achieving business success.

An advantage would be if you have experience in the "Six Sigma" concept.
