We are seeking a Climate and Energy Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team in Schwechat and contribute to our sustainability journey. In this role, you will serve as the vital connection between energy consumption, operational processes, and climate challenges. Your focus will be on raising awareness and driving energy efficiency. While your primary responsibility will be the Schwechat location, you will also provide support on energy-related matters for our sites in Wildon and Monza. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and the autonomy to make a meaningful impact within a company committed to respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the energy management system at the Schwechat location, including managing internal and external audit activities, such as CO2 audits and the verification process. Additionally, you will provide expert support to our Monza and Wildon locations on energy-related topics.
- Coordinating energy studies and other regulatory requirements while collaborating closely with the operations and TD&E departments to develop and implement location-specific energy plans. You will also organize and ensure the accurate collection and forecasting of energy consumption and CO2 data.
- Partnering with the commercial Energy & Utilities team on new contract negotiations and ensuring proper local implementation and compliance with existing energy, utilities, and CO2 contracts and reporting requirements.
- Serving as the official contact for regional and national authorities on energy and CO2 matters, maintaining an active role in energy and CO2-related interest organizations, and fostering professional relationships with energy market participants.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you hold an FH/University degree in engineering and preferably have three years of relevant work experience. We also welcome recent graduates who are eager to contribute are also encouraged to apply. You are passionate about energy efficiency and strive for excellent results. Your strong networking and influencing skills enable you to build lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders and raise awareness effectively. You also excel in analytical and conceptual thinking, are numerically inclined, and have a solid understanding of legal and contractual matters. Finally, you communicate fluently in both German and English.

We offer competitive compensation based on the collective labor agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 64.023,54 annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) and a yearly bonus.
