Type of Contract: Temporary 1.12.2021 - 31.01.2023


We embrace the diversity of our people and is looking for you who want to be part of a skilled and collaborating team. This position as an accountant will give you the opportunity to take part in all processes of a finance department. 


In this role, you will support the Country finance team and help to ensure correct and compliant (legislation and internal procedures) accounting activities (bookings, regular reconciliations, accruals, declarations towards authorities). You will also work towards different stakeholders such as internal contacts within the legal entity, customs and Tax authorities, external Auditors and Vendors & Customers.


It is your responsibility to ensure correct and timely accounting activities, handle balance sheet and other reconciliations on a regular basis and re-invoicing within the group and miscellaneous invoicing. You will prepare declarations towards different authorities and regular accruals/postings.


From time to time, you will assist with internal and external reviews and audits, be a back-up for Senior Accountant and support:


  • monthly closing tasks (postings, clearings, reconciliations ...)
  • Group Year End closing activities (postings, clearings, reconciliations, group yearend package...)
  • preparation of Intrastat and VAT reporting
  • preparation of grant & incentive applications 


The main responsibilities are:


  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, incoming payments and handling of manual payments. 
  • Manual invoices within the group and to external customers. 
  • Be contact person towards the central accounts payable department.  
  • Local responsibility for travel accounting and expense report administration. 
  • Intrastat reporting, preparation of VAT reports and handle reclaim of VAT paid in other EU-countries. 


The position is part of the local finance department in Stenungsund. The local department works closely together with group departments within the Borealis group. 


About you


You are the right person for us if you have a Bachelor degree in Economics or similar education. 


We have a good collaboration, but the work demands ability to work independently and to keep attention to details. We appreciate experience from working in SAP, an interest to continuous learning and driving improvements.


The group language is English.
