Advanced Process Control Engineer

About the role

Location: Sweden - Stenungsund

Hours: Full-Time

Type of Contract: Permanent

 

We provide solutions for a better tomorrow and is now looking for a talented engineer to strengthen our development team in the Cracker plant.

 

As our Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer you will contribute to better profit, safety and efficiency, and support our operating technicians so they can get the most out of our plant. By designing new control solutions on top of the distributed control system (DCS), our plant will react faster and be more efficient. We are looking for you who wants to take lead and execute APC projects for the Stenungsund Cracker, who wants to contribute to strategic planning on plant level for APC and who can improve plant profit as well as HSE&Q.

 

Are you interested in following tasks?

 

  • To maintain, develop and improve process control solutions
  • Develop operator interface and tuning of applications and process control functions.
  • Perform troubleshooting of existing control functions and participate in technical investigations.
  • To promote Advanced Process Control (APC) as a key component in Borealis Digitalisation.

 

About you

You are the right candidate for us if you have Msc or Bsc in Chemical Engineering, Automation and/or Process Control. You are fluent in verbal and written English and Swedish and have work experience from Control Technology, Engineering or are a Process Engineer with an interest in Control Technology. As a person you have the ability to analyse and solve complex problems in a structured way. You are communicative and enjoy being thorough in your work and have high safety standard.

 

It is meritorious with experience or skills in:

 

  • Work exposed to APC and process control
  • Multivariable Process Control
  • DCS and basic process control
  • Process modelling and simulations tools
  • Petrochemical / refinery industry, or similar
