We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Innovation & Technology community in the Electrical Testing Group at the Innovation Centre in Sweden. You would be part of a growing team and play a key role in developing new products and sustainable innovative solutions driving forward Borealis’ strategy on energy applications.
We are looking for you who have a technical role within R&D, who want to be responsible for execution of project tasks and implementation, and can contribute with your knowledge and experience in discussions with other engineers and scientists.
Are you interested in working with following tasks?
- design, develop and verify methods to measure key electrical properties of polymers for energy applications such as cables (LV – EHV both AC and DC), solar, capacitor for example.
- have an important role in the design of future investments and method development.
- build up knowledge and define experimental routes together with other experts working often in cross-functional teams.
- ensure high scientific standards in research, technology and application development in line with our innovation objectives in the area of electrical testing.
- deliver scientific results by applying scientific principles, combining academic knowledge, experimental results and common experiences.
Om dig
You are the right candidate if you hold a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or you have a Bachelor Degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Work experience as an engineer or researcher in the field of electronics is an asset, as well as fluent Swedish and English in both written and spoken.
You also have:
- sound knowledge of handling High Voltage laboratory test equipment, and experience with measurement instruments such as LCR meters and oscilloscopes.
- experience with standards and regulations.
- experience in circuit modelling and simulation software, such as Matlab and LabView.
As a person, you enjoy expanding your knowledge and bringing in new ideas, approaches or methods. Your way of thinking is highly structured and analytical but also flexible when it comes to collaboration in projects or challenges in your daily work
