We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) who will provide high-level technical expertise and leadership in the development and maintenance Advanced Process Control and Optimization applications for the team of APC Support & Continuous Improvement. In this role, you will drive process improvements, enhance plant efficiency and contribute to overall HSE&Q performance.
As key technical specialist you will have a significant influence and responsibility within the organization in the following areas:
- You will act as a technical expert, providing solutions and advice on complex technical issues and is assigned support responsibility for the Stenungsund Cracker plant together with colleagues in the team.
- You will, develop, implement and support implementation of Advanced Process Control and Real Time Optimization applications as well as tuning of process control loops. All applications aim at keeping high availability and contributing to business performance.
- You will collaborate with all members of the APC community in Borealis. Act as an internal trainer and coach, guiding and encouraging colleagues, and providing technical training to operators, engineers and other stakeholders.
- You will lead smaller investigations and project tasks (e.g. incidents, troubleshooting, studies) and participates in incident investigations and creates business case calculations for investment proposals in own area.
- You will contribute to improve the effectiveness and consistency of internal practices and procedures.
About you
- Master’s degree or higher from an acknowledged university in Engineering or Technology (Chemical, Automation, Process Control)
- Experience in the respective discipline or related operational areas (refining, petrochemical, polymerization) with 6-10 years of relevant industrial experience, especially in either APC, optimization or modelling
- Fluent Swedish and English in writing and speaking
- Project Management skills
- Business understanding
- Effectiveness in international and multicultural teams
- Driver of knowledge building and knowledge sharing across locations
