Responsibilities:
    As HR Business Partner (HRBP) to an assigned group of local managers, drive proactively all people management matters and steer change initiatives of a small sized and/or low complex (sub-)location.
    Coach and support the assigned managers on all people and organisational matters within the area of responsibility to meet location and people KPI’s.
    Lead the local HR agenda (in line with the location HR agenda) to ensure an aligned approach within the area of responsibility and be point of local escalation if needed.
    As a member of the HR Business Partner community, ensure local and group related people needs are aligned and addressed in a balanced way.
    Drive all strategic HR Processes (people and leadership development, performance management, organisational design, culture, change and Employee Relations) within the area of responsibility in order to meet the strategy and relevant people KPI’s.
    Ensure that Borealis (Values, People Principles and Ethics), Business Group, legal and local reality is taken into account when defining and/or implementing local people related decisions and/or contributing to/managing local or Group HR projects.
    Challenge line decisions that may result in high-risk people or cost implications and provide alternative options.
    Responsible to mitigate risks for Borealis esp. when it comes to compliance issues within the area of responsibility. 
    Manage the social dialogue (if applicable) for the location in a constructive way and with a win-win outcome in mind, act as an representative in official representation meetings,…) and negotiates (CLA)employee Representatives.
    Share knowledge and best practises within location(s) and stream or business group to improve the overall HR effectiveness and efficiency.
    Responsible for delivering professional HR Business Partner services to the respective area of responsibility focussing on Grade 12 and below leaders.
    Active involvement in recruitment, development, conflict handling (including sanctioning) and exit processes for the relevant area, including package negotiations.
    Drive selected people related topics (e.g. exit interviews, employee on-boarding, team building,..) for the area of responsibility.
    Drive People KPI in own area of responsibility (and contribute to People KPI on Group Scorecard).
    Secure state-of-the-art know-how by participating in relevant external networks.
    Review local payroll for accuracy
    Local Subject Matter Expert in:

  •     Reviews local payroll for accuracy, and answers payroll related questions.
  •     Manage new employee orientations.
  •     Insurance Benefits
  •    Performance Management Process (Horizon)
  •    Merit Process
  •    Borealis NAM Policies and Procedures
  •    New Employee On-Boarding/Orientation
  •    BeyondPay HRIS system
  •   Health Engagement Activities (Wellness)
  •   Rewards process

About you

 


    Bachelors Degree 
    Expert knowledge/experience in local labor law 
    Strong employee relations experience in a manufacturing environment
    EXPERIENCE IN THE ROLE: 2 yrs of relevant experience in a HRBP role.
    TOTAL EXPERIENCE: 5 to 7 yrs of relevant working experience in HR.
    MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, SAP & HRIS
