Provides ownership of the stock management process for the Maintenance department, as well as for General site supplies.
    Employee is responsible for inventorying, stocking, and issuing parts and supplies and/or purchasing assigned or designated parts from an approved list of vendors.
    Transactions to be managed in SAP and in compliance with Borealis Group Procedures.
    Work is performed with latitude for independent judgment. Role reports to maintenance manager and work is reviewed periodically to assure conformity with departmental policies and procedures.

    Responsible for the receipt, recording and disbursement of a wide variety of tools, materials and supplies from a shop supply room. Uses manual or terminal based inventory system.
    Checks parts catalog for proper part identification; contacts vendors to obtain price bids; prepares purchase requisitions; obtains purchase order numbers from Purchasing Department, places orders with vendors.
    Understands Procurement requirements as it relates to Small Orders, Requisitions, Vendor Managed Inventory, Stock drawdown and management. Ensures others follow required work processes.
    Conducts regular physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenishes stock as shipments arrive.
    Conduct cycle counts on a regular basis to comply with corporate stock accuracy requirements
    Ensures parts and equipment are stored in a safe, reliable manner and complies with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials. Encourages others to work safely and looks for ways to improve safety.
    Close communication with department managers to understand needs and establish targets for stockroom requirements.
    Maintains stock inventory levels within established Min / Max limits.
    Ensures storage locations are accurate for the Bill of Materials for Equipment within SAP. 
    Places Small Purchase Orders for Maintenance, Production and QC departments.
    Verifies equipment and supplies for entry into stock. Receives shipments from vendors, checks packing slips/invoices for accuracy and ensures quantities received are as stated.
    Coordinates with Maintenance Manager to prepare equipment pre-job packages to support next day activities.
 

About you

 Experienced in the use of SAP 
    Prior experience in parts management  or maintenance is strongly preferred
    TOTAL EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of industrial parts, tools, repair, and equipment. Knowledge of general stockroom practices and procedures, as well as record keeping.
    Ability to maintain automated inventory record with the use of SAP. Able to operate office equipment and machines (work involves the regular performance of physical tasks such as climbing or carrying moderately heavy-occasionally very heavy objects using tools like hoist, chain falls, fork lift or other).
    Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
    Must be proficient and able to work independently on day to day tasks
    Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
