Production Operator

Hours: Full-Time
Type of Contract: Permanent

· Continuous attention to safety; Maintaining a safe working culture & environment
· Follows all quality policies and production procedures ensuring quality production
· Monitors and performs product quality checks and takes appropriate action, including shutdown of process, to prevent or limit production
· Responsible for the completion and accuracy of all production order data entry
· Responsible for meeting standard batch times while maintaining safety and quality
· Be able to calculate and make production decisions when the need arises
· Assists in meeting the production schedule goals by completing assignments
· Follows all provisions of operating instructions
· Ensure work space is 5S ready, clean and orderly
· Participate in continuous improvement programs (Lean, Kaizen, CIS, TBW)
· Expected to know performance metrics and work toward targeted objectives
· Proactively report any equipment issues as soon as they become aware
· Work in a team environment to optimize output of quality product, assist others as necessary, and promote safety awareness
· Perform forklift/truck requirements

About you
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong focus on Safety and Quality
- The Production Operator will need good math and mechanical aptitude skills
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
- Follows all provisions of operating instructions
- High School diploma or GED
- Be team player
- Flexibility to work other shifts as production demands
- Preferred Experience:
- Forklift experience and/or certification
- At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment
- Batch processing experience
- Plastics manufacturing experience
- Solid work history
