Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk acts in the A/P process by making sure that vendor invoice processing, approval flow, reminder handling, payment proposals and ERS runs are executed in an efficiently and timely way. This position works closely together with accounting and procurement staff, as well as the supplier base.
Responsibilities:

•    Creation & maintenance of vendor master data via European based vendor administration team 
•    Correct handling of purchase to pay process
•    Correct and timely processing of A/P invoices and Lease payments (IFRS 16)
•    Support month end closing procedures (accrual postings, account reconciliations) 
•    Supplier reminder handling
•    Checking and payment of invoices on due date for vendors paid via check or wire payments
•    First contact person for suppliers, financial institutions and cash management
•    Acting as back-up of other finance team members
•    Payroll backup on a regular basis
•    Support Sales and Use Tax Compliance
•    Assigned local administrative tasks
•    Review and improvement of established Purchase to Pay process
•    Liason to cost center responsible individual for correct invoice handling

About you


•    Good knowledge and experience with relevant IT applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Sharepoint & Word)
•    SAP: FI & MM module (process director)
•    Understanding of purchase to pay processes
•    Strong communication and facilitation skills
•    Service minded and accurate 
•    Accounting expertise
•    Data interpretation & validation
•    Bi-lingual with Spanish is a plus
