Demand Response Expert (m/f/d)

As a Demand Response Expert, you will be responsible for monitoring and steering the execution of the demand plan with the objective to maximise margins in balance with customer experience. In this challenging role, you will ensure that the demand plan is executed by following up on the order income of the relevant business cluster as well as propose and initiate corrective actions.


In your ambition to drive forward, we expect you to

  • Ensure that the defined segmentation rules are enforced during the execution of the demand plan in your area, specifically regarding product prioritization & service levels.
  • Collect and leverage downstream channel data in your decisions & to initiate actions towards the sales community in case of demand shortfalls.
  • Apply demand response processes, rules & tools as applicable to the respective business cluster & contribute to their improvement.
  • Provide proposals for margin & volume thresholds used to steer the demand response process and to give quantitative input to the demand planning team as preparation for the following planning cycle.
  • Analyze the current order income of the relevant business cluster, to determine expected over-/underselling of the plan, open forecast volume, level of cancellations & to provide the information to the different stakeholders.
  • Request increased supply based on the service level guidelines of segmentation in case of unplanned demand.
  • Offer excess inventories to sales, collect & prioritize sales opportunities.
  • Support in abnormal demand scenarios by responding to supply disruptions & providing analysis & solution proposals for quality decision-making as well as align with the Demand Planners on mid-term impact.
About you


As our desired candidate, you have a University degree in a related field (e.g. Supply Chain, Business Management, Economics, or Engineering) and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience of which you spent 2 years in a Demand or Supply Planning or Customer Service role. Preferably, you were able to complete professional training in the area of S&OP/Supply Chain and you are familiar with SAP-APO + R/3 or a comparable planning and ERP tool. You are a challenger of information who aims to make data-driven decisions and you are known for your strong self-confidence as well as stress resilience. Finally, we expect an advanced skill set with MS Excel as well as fluency in English.

We offer competitive compensation based on the collective labor agreement, reflecting your competencies and experience, starting at EUR 55.000 annual gross salary and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan. 


This is a temporary position limited for 2 years.
