Location: Flexible, Borealis locations Europe


As a Borcycle M Process Technology Expert , you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop process technology, design and solutions within Borealis Mechanical Recycling technology for polyolefins, partly in collaboration with research teams projects.
  • Develop business opportunities (e.g. PDPs) for Mechanical polyolefin Recycling, taking into consideration Safety, Quality, Reliability and Cost.
  • Contribute with technical and professional advises to operations and projects across locations in Borealis and Joint Ventures.
  • Develop Borcycle M design requirements and develop and/or implement Group Procedures.
  • Lead or participate in technical problem solving, affecting Business Performance in different locations.
  • Build employee capability to enable increased performance by guiding, coaching and encouraging other colleagues and co-workers.
  • Have good internal exposure and establish recognition in the area of Mechanical Recycling
  • Maintain good relations with typical vendors, external engineering & contracting companies, as well as with Borealis’ production units, procurement and technical networks in assigned technology.
  • Develop and maintain some relations with relevant external institutions to keep abreast with recent technical developments.


You will work closely together with other process technology teams within Borealis Asset Technology department, e.g. the Borlink™ team for Wire & Cable products.

About you

  • Master Degree in relevant process engineering field, Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
  • You have 8-10 years of relevant process design and project experience.
  • Fluent English in writing and speaking. Proficiency in a second language such as German may be meriting.
  • You have good business understanding and show effectiveness in international and multicultural teams.
  • Relevant experiences may include experience from recycling business, including its unit operations, feedstock, sorting/washing, compounding/extrusion incl. filtration, bulk material handling, waste water treatment etc.

  • Open for potential relocation for engineering and/or execution/start-up phase of projects
