Expert in Communications, Media and Channel (m/f/d)

Looking for a new challenge? We are excited to announce that Borealis is looking for an Expert in Communications Media and Channel. This expert will support in creating a dialogue with key target audiences via corporate online channels, specifically social media and website channels. This individual will contribute to channel performance via creation and management of content in line with overall communications strategy and business objectives to reach the defined target audiences. He/She will align closely with the rest of the Group Communications team and stakeholders across the company to drive communication of key strategic topics and follow up with channel measurement and reporting to ensure consistent, optimised corporate and business communication in a purpose-driven way.

 

PLEASE NOTE: This role is a maternity cover, and limited up to two years contract.

 

As an Expert in Communications, Media and Channel you will be:

  • Planning, coordinating, monitoring and measuring of social media and web channels; creating new channels and evolving existing channels
  • Supporting Borealis’ social media strategic planning, development, implementation and monitoring in order to increase brand awareness, improve reputation and increase content reach
  • Supporting content strategy by managing social media and web content as outlined in the overall editorial plan (timing, budget, preparing assets) and executing publication of communication activities such as website updates,  , social media and other online activities 
  • Supporting development of communication assets (e.g. multimedia, social media content, online materials), either in house or via briefing and managing external competence partners 
  • Supporting organisational management of internal and external corporate communications channels and tools across the company including providing support to colleagues in various locations (such as with local website content updates) as well as managing related content approval processes, ensuring alignment with the necessary stakeholders and validation by senior management
  • Support all corporate media engagement and ensure professional and global performance in all channel communication disciplines such as, website, printed materials and social media
  • Support and evaluate offline/online channels and tools for effective media communication campaigns and establish consistent measurement tools
  • Support quality assurance of channel performance of communication activities by consistently implementing standards, processes and best practices
  • Project participation in the respective functional area
  • Support development and maintenance of key communications frameworks and guidelines across organisation via various tools and platforms 
     

About you

  • Bachelor’s (ideally Master) degree in Business/ Marketing/ Branding/ Communications with focus on Media or relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an international environment
  • Fluent English at business level, comfortable composing content in English, German is a plus
  • Understanding of the chemical and/ or polyolefins industry is preferred
  • Experience in social media management and knowledge of social media advertising
  • Experience in social media content creation (e.g. Canva), social media management (e.g. Gain) and ticket management (e.g. Swat, Jira). 
  • Experience in web content management (e.g. Wordpress, Craft, etc.)  
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Proactively involve, cooperate and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Enthusiastic and professional team player to work independently
  • Creative mindset
  • Active listener

Following Austrian law regulations, we offer, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 48.000 annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
