In the Borealis' Head office in Vienna, we are looking for an experienced and agile Finance Manager who will join our Group Accounting Team. In this crucial role, you will deliver data and information for decision-making while continuously supporting the optimization and improvement of our financial systems, processes, and tools.

Your tasks as Finance Manager with Borealis include

  • the preparation of regular accruals/postings
  • balance sheet and other reconciliations on a regular basis
  • supporting the monthly financial reporting and consolidation of the Borealis group and preparation of group and local financial statements
  • supporting the year-end closing including postings, clearing, reconciliation, etc.
  • monitoring the centralized accounting entries affecting local and group accounts and compliance with accounting control procedures
  • the implementation of relevant IFRS developments into accounting policies and specific solutions for accounting rules on both, group and local level
  • manage internal and external reviews and audits
  • supporting finance-related group projects
  • follow-up on the legislation changes and introducing relevant changes to the organization


Depending on your level of seniority and experience, you will also manage a small team of direct reports. 

About you


You are the right candidate for this position if you combine a Master's degree in business or a similar relevant discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and consolidation. You were able to gain professional experience in an international company that is why you are keen on working in a flexible and fast-paced environment and enjoy the complexity of a globally acting organization. The ability to work independently, to prioritize your tasks, and manage your resources efficiently are important assets you will need for this role. You have excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English and German. Finally, an excellent understanding of SAP R/3 and consolidation software such as Tagetik or Hyperion makes you the perfect fit.

For this significant role, we offer, reflecting your experiences, skills, and competencies, competitive compensation starting at EUR 70.000,00 annual gross salary (based on 38hrs/week) and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension.
