Within Borealis “Digital Solutions” in the Department of “Commercial Solutions”, your role will be a Senior Solution Specialist in the area of Supply Chain Management (SCM) / Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO).
In your role, you will provide specialist knowledge and guidance, act as an internal business & technology advisor and be a functional & technical consultant for all digital solutions regarding SCM related processes.  
 

You will be the focal point and play the vital link between the Borealis Supply Chain Business Team and the technical specialists by:
 

• being the go-to person for the areas Demand Planning (DP), Demand Control (aATP), Supply Network Planning (SNP, including optimizer) as well as Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS);
• actively involving in the demand management process in order to assess, challenge, design and estimate project and service related initiatives as well as participate in the whole project life-cycle;
• translating the business needs to the technical specialists, design new concepts and steer the implementations;
• working closely together with the business, and give expertise as well as recommendations while challenging the existing processes and solutions;
• managing services and projects as Borealis representative in activities executed by external partners;
• assessing, trouble-shooting and solving problems in our Supply Chain application landscape;
• prioritizing requests by working with the business owners to determine efficiency gains;
• contributing to the solution architecture as well as driving operational vendor management;
• interacting and collaborating with strategic external partners;
• leading smaller projects or service initiatives.

About you

• a Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar and at least 7 years in a similar role 
• in-depth knowledge and understanding of SCM processes and solutions (DP, aATP, PPDS, SNP including optimizer) and the integration with S/4HANA
• in-depth experience in systems such as SAP or other SCM related applications
• strong analytical and conceptual abilities as well as technical understanding (e.g. customizing / configuration or ability to read / interpret code)
• a drive for excellence combined with a strong sense for initiative 
• strong team player capabilities with a cooperative and agile mindset and take ownership of individual tasks 
• fluency in English (spoken, written, literacy)
