Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

To strengthen the legal team, we are looking for a Legal Counsel who will advise on assigned legal areas of law and support defined business areas from a legal point of view. 


We need your expertise to…

  • Provide high quality legal support to the global procurement team, i.e direct and indirect procurement (technical procurement, business services procurement and raw materials procurement)
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts within the day-to-day business of procurement, i.e. sale and purchase agreements, supply agreements, services agreements, consultancy contracts, etc. 
  • Legal support in the management of claims, disputes and litigation
  • Providing advice and participating in the evaluation of legal issues in technical projects (e.g. building of plants, plant expansions, plant maintenance works), including the proper set-up of a project from a legal point of view)
  • Assisting in defining the strategy for major project related contracts (such as EPCM/EPC contracts), drafting and negotiation of such contracts and other engineering, construction and maintenance contracts as a core member of the project team
  • Updating/developing contract templates in cooperation with procurement
  • Holding regular legal/ contract negotiation trainings to procurement 
  • Management of external lawyers 
  • Acting as the business’ legal sparring partner


About you


As our ideal candidate, you can combine a Law Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a reputable international law firm or in the legal department of an international company, bar exam  is a plus.


You have strong negotiation-, project management- and conflict resolution- skills; good understanding of technical and commercial issues, understanding of IPR topics is a plus, but not a must.


You are well known for your high problem solving competence and results-orientation, good business judgement; ability to establish and maintain effective cross-organizational and cross cultural relationships with "Hands-on" personality bringing great sense of responsibility/reliability, high level of commitment, dedication.


Finally, an excellent command of the English language but also presentation and communication skills are the must.

We offer, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement applicable for  Austrian location, starting at EUR 80.640,- annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan. Overall, the salary and fringe benefit package will reflect the specifics of the country/location you apply for.
