For a temporary replacement until the end of September, we are looking for a Production Scheduler (Reactor) for our plants in Geleen. The assignment starts as soon as we find the right candidate.

You are expected to work on-site in Geleen approximately one day per week.

As a Production Scheduler (Reactor), you are responsible for translating demand into an efficient, cost-optimized production schedule while safeguarding service levels and operational stability.

More specifically, you will:

• Deliver a cost-minimal, monetized production schedule aligned with business priorities
• Monitor and follow up on local inventory and stock placement policies, reducing slow-moving stock and ensuring timely and accurate goods receipt
• Manage local supply crisis situations and closely monitor safety stock levels
• Track demand updates daily and proactively adjust the production schedule to keep stock balanced
• Participate in Customer Support Teams (CST) to continuously improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to production KPI monitoring

You are not just scheduling — you are actively steering the balance between demand, production capacity, and inventory performance.

About you

You bring at least 5 years of total professional experience, including 2+ years in a commercial, business, operations, or supply chain environment. Experience in the polyolefin industry is a strong plus.

In addition:

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in logistics or equivalent
• You combine strong analytical and conceptual thinking with fact-based decision-making
• You are able to translate complex situations into clear priorities and actionable plans
• You have influencing skills: you set direction, engage stakeholders, and inspire confidence
• You are fluent in Dutch and communicate professionally in English
• You have at least a solid working knowledge of Excel; SAP/S4H experience is an asset
• You make well-founded (and sometimes quick) decisions and stand by them
• You work independently while actively contributing to teamwork
• You see troubleshooting as a challenge and enjoy solving issues with a logical mindset
• You communicate in a clear, structured, and decisive way
