Borealis is a global leader in advanced and sustainable chemicals and material solutions. Sustainability and innovation are core part of Borealis strategy and we are now seeking enforcement to our Digital Solutions team as Department Manager for Operations solutions.

 
The Department Manager is responsible for a team, which is ensuring our digital solutions for the Operations business unit, consisting of production (including MES area), maintenance, reliability, engineering, technical development, material handling and logistics, are up-and-running in a stable, secure and usable way.

 

As a Department manager you will: 

 

  • Lead, organize and supervise the work of the assigned processes and resources (team and budget) in order to ensure the optimal utilization and to deliver on the set objectives of the team. 
  • Develop the competences of the team members, which are required for the implementation of the IT strategy of Borealis (operational excellence, diversity, information security, agile practices etc.) and provide the necessary coaching.
  • Lead tactical vendor management (contract negotiation, contractual change requests, claim Management, Service Level Management, …) driving operational vendor management.

About you

 

You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Automation-/Process Engineering, Chemicals or other relevant area and more than 10 years of experience in a similar role in the field of operations in an international work environment. You have in-depth knowledge of leading team of specialists and experts. You have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills. You master English at business level.
