We are currently looking for the right people who want to have an impact and contribute to the integration journey. One key role is the HSE Manager in which you have the chance to prove that you can lead yourself, drive change, deliver impact and grow people. We look for a true ambassador and role model of Borealis safety culture.
As the HSE Manager, and a member of the local leadership team, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and foster a world class HSE culture. You will be responsible for the local implementation of HSE processes in line with objectives and operating principles. In this role, you will lead a team of local HSE professionals, who you will guide in developing their skills by creating a motivating work culture. With HSE as a core value, you have a strong responsibility to proactively promote and promote health, safety and environmental awareness and behavior at the location.
Supported by the group's HSE structure you will:
- Define together with the local team the implementation plan and the definition of the objectives in support of the global HSE strategy
- Ensure integration of local needs and challenges into Group HSE plans and activities
- Define local KPIs and targets for your area of responsibility
- Promote continuous improvement of the local organization's HSE performance and behavior through regular audits and propose, recommend and support improvement actions
- Ensure consistent understanding and implementation of the HSE system and processes
- Ensure sufficient local cooperation with authorities, neighboring companies, neighbours, press and industry federations in the HSE area.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you hold a Master’s degree in, e.g. Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials or Environmental and have several years of corporate experience. You are intimately familiar with group procedures and are recognized as a strong ambassador for safety. We highly value your experience and proven capabilities in incident investigation and auditing. You have a strong impact and influence on the issues thanks to your good communication and negotiation skills. You are a firm decision-maker with high engagement and commitment. As we seek a leader, we expect you to have excellent people leadership skills and a genuine interest in motivating and developing others. It is an advantage if you already have experience leading a team. Ideally, you can master different HSE systems and processes as well. Full professional proficiency in English and Bulgarian (written and spoken) is a must.
