Do you want to get the best out of people, just like us? We are looking for a People & Culture (HR) Business Partner to join Borealis and help us develop our people and the organisation.

 

The role will include a mix of working on operational tasks in combination with more strategic activities. You will be part of the Location Leadership Team in the organization and together with the other LLT members to drive proactively all people management matters – including engaging in union dialogues - and steering change initiatives.

 

In our ambition to make progress, this will be your contribution in this role:

 

•    Drive People & Culture Processes and steer people related topics in your area of responsibility, like employee engagement, organizational changes, wellbeing, leadership development and succession planning in the location.
•    Coach and support managers on all people and organizational matters to meet the defined people KPI’s and manage change projects in line with the company’s transformational journey.
•    Actively engage in an open and constructive dialogue with union representatives in your area, including CLA- and other negotiations.
•    Ensure that Borealis Values and People Principles are taken into account at all times when people related decisions are taken. 
•    Challenge business decisions that may result in high-risk people or cost implications and provide alternative options.
•    Ensure that business reality is taken into consideration in P&C projects that result in process changes.
•    Actively manage operational P&C tasks, including drafting employment contracts, handling various P&C-related documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 

 

About you

 

You can be a perfect match if you hold a relevant Master’s degree (e.g. Social Science, Economics, Law) from an acknowledged University. You have strong evidence of relevant work experience as HR Business Partner or in an equivalent role. You will be the line manager of a small team of BP’s and as the most senior People and Culture person in the Porvoo location will also care for a one team spirit within People and culture on the location. Knowledge of Finnish Labour Law and managing union relations is a strong favourable competence and will help you to succeed in this role. Earlier experience from an industrial and international work environment is considered an advantage. As we are working in multicultural environment, you should be a fluent communicator in Finnish and in English at business level.
