We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic II for a growing and expanding manufacturing company! Not just a job but an opportunity!
Responsibilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and take corrective action / repair of industrial machinery preventing costly down-time
• Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance
• Lubrication, inspecting, adjustment and calibration
• Installation and fabrication of project upgrades for new systems & equipment
• Reading and understanding mechanical blueprints
• Troubleshooting different systems and equipment including; motors, gear reducers, mixers, extruders, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, steam systems, bearings and similar systems and equipment associated with a compounding and extrusion line.
• Mig, Stick or TIG welding for repairs and small fabrication projects
• Installation and repairs of piping systems
• General troubleshooting of electrical motors and systems from 12V up to 480V
• Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery, knowledge of level sensors, temperature sensors and temperature controller, pressure sensors, limit switches, optical sensors and flowmeters
• Use a wide range of tools and equipment:
o Power & Hand tools
o Variety of truck lifts
o Jacks and hoists
o Technical manuals and references
o Measuring devices (squares, micrometers, calipers, voltmeters, ammeters), etc.
• Minor facility related maintenance and repairs
• Interaction with all departments, in improvement team-based activities and often dealing with people in crisis situations (equipment breakdown, power outages, etc.).
About you
• Minimum High School Graduate or GED
• Trade school training in any of the above areas is preferred
• Knowledge of steam systems and possession of a NJ High Pressure Black Seal Boiler License is a plus
• Strong sense of safety awareness, GMP and PPE practices
• Good Reading, Math Skills and Basic computer skills
• Strong understanding of bearings, power transmission equipment and rigging
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Electrical Power Distribution and Controls Systems Experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of all classes of motors (DC and AC), pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with 3 phase, single phase and DC motors
• Writing Skills for Documentation of Maintenance Work
• Experience working in a millwright environment
• Willingness to accept overtime and call-in on short notice
• Willingness to take training courses or on the job training program to improve skill level
• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of these trades
