Role Purpose :

The role holder is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of investment projects for the Rockport Compounding Site.  

•    Support business optimization projects of different sizes and complexity in accordance with the Borealis project management standards.
•    Oversee all aspects of the projects using planning, monitoring and controlling processes, creating business cases, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.
•    Role holder is responsible for successful implementation and completion of projects in order to reach the strategic business unit targets

Responsibilities:
•    Define project objectives with Project Owner
•    Identify and request the competencies needed and establish the project team 
•    Define and assign the internal roles in the project 
•    Plan, manage and control the project work, develop the project schedule, follow up on progress and take actions needed to keep the project on track
•    Define and distribute the tasks to the project team members
•    Monitor and report on project status, risks, forecasts on interim deliverables, project completion and financials to Steering Committee 
•    Communicate to Owner, Steering and other stakeholders

•    Identify and secure the needed competences for the project and manage the project team effectively.
•    Assign resources to tasks, define roles and responsibilities, set-up an efficient project organization.
•    Engage, motivate and involve project members by creating an inspiring vision on the project’s contribution.
•    Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with the team members.
•    Effectively communicate relevant project information to steering committee, project owner & other stakeholders.

•    Deliver business projects according to project charter specification, agreed project plan, budget and quality 
•    Ensure stakeholders’ satisfaction through continuous stakeholder management to achieve the project objectives. 
•    Secure effective and smooth transfer to line organization where applicable. 

•    Steering Committee and Project Owner as supervisory body for the project, all business unit departments, operations, asset development, innovation, finance, IT&S, and many more depending on type of project.
•    Outside Borealis : External parties included in the project team (experts, authorities, customers, etc.)

About you

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree from acknowledged university, or equivalent relevant experience
•    Proven Project Management experience > 5 years
•    Experience with plastics compounding desired
•    Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
•    Effective interpersonal relationship skills
•    Analytical thinking and structured working approach
•    Negotiation skills
