Location: Port Murray, NJ and supporting Taylorsville, NC site
 

The role holder is responsible for the development and efficient safe and execution of investment projects for the NAM Compounding Sites.  

•    Support business optimization projects of different sizes and complexity in accordance with the Borealis project management standards.
•    Oversee all aspects of the projects using planning, monitoring and controlling processes, creating business cases, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.
•    Role holder is responsible for successful implementation and completion of projects in order to reach the strategic business unit targets

Responsibilities:

•    Defines together with group TD&E and according to the asset development strategy the right quantity and competences of the local TD&E team.
•    Recruitment and competence development (technical and behavioral) of the local TD&E team in order to meet the agreed goals.
•    Manage the annual people calendar (performance management, people day, people survey) and the technical career ladder in order to assure a competent and motivated workforce.
•    Local Production/Operations organization, Asset Development, and Business
•    Close co-operation with HSE, OPEX Managers, Group-experts, Group networks, Innotech, PTS, Procurement, Product Manag, and the NAM Management Team
External: Engineering partners or contractors
•    3-8 direct reports, up to 10-40 indirect reports and contractors, depending on the size of the project portfolio. 

About you

•    Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering management and/or operational environment
•    Understanding of the industry, suppliers and customers
•    Excellent knowledge of manufacturing, engineering and relevant process technologies
•    Proven ability to manage change projects and monitoring complexity, diversity and risks
•    Bachelor’s degree from acknowledged university, or equivalent relevant experience
•    Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
•    Effective interpersonal relationship skills
•    Analytical thinking and structured working approach
•    Negotiation skills
•    Recognized for having excellent people skills, achievement oriented, team builder, inspiring and motivating for a demanding workforce.
•    Project management within a multi-cultural environment is key to be successful.
