At the Innovation Centre Stenungsund, our work environment is international and we provide solutions for a better tomorrow by developing new products and applications for polyolefins, especially for Energy application. Our main responsibility is to drive innovation to support business and operations through compounding and processing of polymers with subsequent advanced testing and analysis. We do this with the highest standards regarding HSE, quality and efficiency to bring value to Borealis and our customers.

 

As Lab Operations Manager Electrical Testing you will, together with a team of Laboratory Engineers, build up advanced knowledge in electrical testing of polyolefins, focus on HSE, ensure quality of work and continuously improve work processes to increase efficiency and service to our internal customers. You will be reporting to Group Leader Application Hall, Innovation&Technology.

Create awareness and commitment for safety and ensure a clean and safe work environment for all employees and visitors. Ensure legal compliance of equipment, work practices and working environment. Your responsibilities as Lab Operations Manager for Electrical Testing at Borealis, Stenungsund:

 

  • High focus on HSE
  • Responsible for the operational part of the Electrical testing group, including planning 
  • Lead investments projects within given budget and scope
  • Drive and prioritise method development, including practical work
  • Motivate and ensure the networking and cross-functional team working
  • Ensures efficient and cost optimized use and maintenance of all testing instruments
  • Select and ensure state-of-the-art equipment together with the stakeholders in Innovation&Technology and Business.

About you

You are the right person for us if you have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical Testing of the Polyolefin. You also have experience as a leader and a good understanding of polymers, such as polymer processing, scientific methods and characterisation tools. At Innovation Centre, we have people working from many different countries and you need to be able to speak both Swedish and English. 

 

As a person, you have a good commercial awareness, which includes delivery of results and customer orientation. You are able to analyse problems and bring different elements together for the best possible solution. You like to keep order and have a great quality consciousness. You also have good documentation, presentation and reporting skills.
