Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving organizational success through people? At Borealis, we are looking for a Senior People & Culture Business Partner who can balance operational excellence with strategic foresight — a trusted advisor to our leaders and a key enabler of our culture.

 

In this role, you will act as a hands-on business partner to our local management team in Stenungsund, supporting strategic initiatives on a location level. You will be a member of the Location Leadership Team (LLT), contributing to both the long-term strategic direction and the day-to-day people agenda.

 

You will also lead one People & Culture Business Partner and, over time, take on the role of Administrative Manager for the local team. Collaboration is key — you’ll work closely with our HR Service Manager, as well as with our Talent Acquisition, L&D and P&C Centre of Expertise teams across the organization.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Ensure legal compliance and good governance.
  • Partner strategically with the Location Leadership Team to shape and drive the people agenda, fostering engagement, leadership, wellbeing, and organizational development.
  • Support and coach managers in all people-related matters, ensuring alignment with Borealis values, processes, and strategic goals.
  • Lead and support local change and transformation initiatives.
  • Engage actively in union collaboration and labour relations matters.
  • Represent People & Culture in cross-functional topics and local projects.
  • Lead, support and develop one direct report and ensure strong collaboration within the local P&C community.
  • Steer and execute P&C processes and initiatives that support both local and business needs.

 

In this role you will report to Thomas Fuschl; Vice President People & Culture Solutions Europe.

About you

You hold a relevant university degree (e.g., Social Sciences, Economics, Law) and bring broad experience as an HR or People & Culture Business Partner — ideally from an industrial or international environment. You are well-versed in Swedish labour law and experienced in managing union relations.

 

You combine strategic acumen with a pragmatic approach and are comfortable switching between operational tasks and big-picture thinking. You thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment and communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
