The role holder is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of production for the Taylorsville Compounding Site.  
•    The role holder is responsible to supply the planned production volume on time and at the right quality in the most cost-efficient and safe way. 
•    The role holder is responsible for the continuous improvement of the production unit including focus on License to Operate, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) needs and, meeting customer expectations. 
•    The Role Holder will maintain ownership of the production assets including maintenance and reliability.
•    Furthermore he/she is responsible for developing and leading the Operations and Maintenance organizations.
Responsibilities:
•    Delivers the objectives and KPI of the plant with continuous improvement approach (PDCA): 
o    Planning: Ensures that a department action plan is made to reach these objectives (use platforms).
o    Doing: Ensures that the necessary lessons are always drawn from incidents (HSE incidents, complaints, operability,…) by the implementation of a root cause analysis.
o    Checking: Watches the progress of the action plan. Reports the plant performance.
o    Adjusting: Adjusts the plan when measures are not effective.  
o    Communicating: Ensures that each team member knows these objectives and results, so that everyone can contribute in reaching these objectives.
•    Selects & deselects, coaches & inspires, ensures development plan is identified and implemented.
•    Responsible for the effective and efficient organization of the work and overall prioritization of activities.
•    Ensures that all procedures and work instructions in the department are in place, known and followed.
•    Ensures that the plant is operated in accordance with the obligations out of the operating permit and all regulatory requirements.
•    Acts as a crisis manager for the plant.
•    Secures compliance with NAM and Group policies, procedures, instructions, ethics and values by checking, defining and implementing corrective actions to avoid damage to people, fixed assets or the environment. 
•    Steers allocated asset development projects (< $1M size) 
•    Addresses profit improvement and asset development opportunities for the plant 
•    Supports and agrees with implementation of the test run requests
•    Assures that the customers’ requirements are known in his/her organization
•    Manages the Maintenance Team and critical peers’ interfaces, including HSE, Product Owner, Asset Development, Logistics, etc.
•    Supports other functions/ locations as part of a Global Compounding Team
 

 

About you

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferably engineering) from acknowledged university, or equivalent relevant experience
•    Min. 5-10 years of experience in a Production Leadership Role or other relevant experience 
•    Experience with plastic compounding of polypropylene preferred
