Make impactful data-driven decisions REAL!

If you are passionate about data and unlocking its value creation, and if you want to support innovation with data science-based solutions, this opportunity may be for you. As AI and Data Management Expert within our Digital Solutions organization, you will operate in an integrated role at the intersection of data governance, data management, and hands-on AI / GenAI delivery. You will ensure that our data assets are well-governed, high-quality, and AI-ready, while actively contributing to the design, prototyping, and validation of AI and GenAI use cases together with data science, data engineering, and business teams.
This role deliberately bridges policy and practice: governance is shaped by real use cases, and AI solutions are built with trust, quality, and compliance embedded from the start.

Your main areas of responsibility include amongst others:

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for enterprise-wide data management and AI enablement, combining strategic guidance with hands-on contribution
  • Design and evolve pragmatic data governance and data management frameworks (policies, standards, operating models) aligned with AI-driven use cases
  • Ensure data assets are high-quality, well-documented, traceable, and AI-ready, covering data quality, metadata, lineage, master/reference data, bias awareness, and responsible data usage
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, and stewards to clarify accountability, coach best practices, and embed governance into daily operations
  • Contribute directly to AI / GenAI initiatives, from ideation to prototype, by translating business problems into data and AI requirements and building AI / GenAI proofs of concept
  • Apply governance-by-design in AI solutions, ensuring explainability, auditability, data lineage, quality gates, and compliance from the outset
  • Contribute to technology and architecture decisions for data, analytics, AI, Agentic AI platforms
  • Support the transition from prototype to scalable solution in collaboration with engineering, MLOps, and platform teams
  • Identify and escalate risks related to data security, privacy, ethics, and compliance, particularly in AI and GenAI contexts
  • Promote data literacy and AI awareness, fostering a strong, cross-functional data and AI community

About you

As AI and Data Management Expert, you will be working in a highly collaborative, international environment where your expertise will directly shape digital capabilities, innovation, and long-term business performance.

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Architecture and Management, Data Engineering, Information and Data Science or related field.
  • Experience advising on data management, governance, analytics, or AI-related topics
  • Solid understanding of data governance and enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with data and AI platforms, such as Databricks, SAP (incl. MDG), cloud-based analytics and AI services
  • Practical exposure to AI / ML or GenAI use cases, including prototyping, experimentation, or solution design

Furthermore, we are looking for a strong analytical and conceptual thinker, who can translate concepts into practical implementation plans. You take initiative and identify opportunities; you are proactive in putting forward ideas & solutions and above all a team player. Good coaching and communication are your key skills, and you know how to convey messages with impact and influence. Knowledge of agile principles and practices such as Kanban and Scrum are preferable. You have experience in an international organization and are fluent in English.
